Code/Zoning Enforcement Official – Part Time

The Township of Medford is seeking a qualified candidate for the part-time (approx.. 8 hours per week) Code/ Zoning Enforcement Official position in the Planning and Zoning Department. Looking for a responsible, detail oriented individual capable of multi-tasking, able to work independently, who demonstrates sound judgment, has excellent organizational skills, strong communication and customer service skills and can maintain confidentiality. Functions include field and office work necessary to enforce the municipal codes/ordinances. Excellent computer skills are required; including MS Word and Excel and Mitchell Humphrey is desired but not mandatory. Deputy Municipal Clerk / Deputy Registrar
Township of Medford – Burlington County

The Township of Medford is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Deputy Municipal Clerk/ Deputy Registrar. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Municipal Clerk’s office and strong understanding of its responsibilities, including responding to OPRA requests, managing elections, preparing agendas, resolutions, ordinances, and meeting minutes, overseeing records management, issuing permits and licenses, handling Vital Statistics and performing additional duties as required. Applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in administrative, organizational, and computer/technical tasks, including MS Word and Excel. A willingness to learn, ability to multitask and a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality are essential. The Deputy Clerk must be able to perform the duties of the Municipal Clerk in her absence. Occasional attendance at evening meetings and extended hours during election periods is required. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in local government, specifically in a Municipal Clerk’s office, and completion of or enrollment in Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) and Certified Municipal Registrar (CMR) certification classes. State certification as an RMC and CMR are highly desirable. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. Medford Township is currently accepting employment applications for one full-time position within the Department of Utilities. This position includes paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time; as well as a comprehensive benefit package. The position available are:

Linesman in the Water/Sewer Division – Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a minimum of 18 years old. Applicants should have a mechanical ability and experience in use of power equipment. Applicants should possess or have the ability to obtain a NJ Commercial Driver’s License, Class B with Air Brake endorsement and have a clean driving record. Applicants should be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, be in good physical health, and submit to a thorough background check and drug screening prior to employment. Salary for this position per the Union Contract is $20.00/hr. or $41,600/year.
