PSE&G to Undertake Work on Dixontown & Skeet Roads

PSE&G will begin upgrading the electric system in your neighborhood to provide safe, reliable service. Construction crews will soon begin actively working on the PSE&G and public right of way in Medford Township.

Beginning on or about the week of July 17, 2023, PSE&G crews and our approved contractors, will be upgrading and replacing utility poles and electric wire along Skeet Road, starting from Chairville Road and ending at Stokes Road; then Dixontown Road, starting at Stokes Road and ending at Cochise Circle; and Tuckerton Road, starting from Atsion Road and ending Chichahominy Trail. Work hours will be between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as some nights and weekends, as needed. The construction is scheduled through the Summer of 2023.

Because customers like you rely on electric and gas to power their daily lives, PSE&G is considered an essential service. As we continue this critical work to keep the power system safe and reliable, we are taking prudent measures and maintaining safety as our number one priority.

To safely complete this portion of work, lane shifts with flaggers will be utilized. Your cooperation with the projects “No Parking” signs will enable the crews to move through your neighborhood more swiftly. Signs will be posted as needed and removed as crews progress along the street. Roads will be accessible to local residents. PSE&G will work with the local police department to minimize any traffic concerns or inconveniences to the public.

In advance of the overhead construction activities, we may trim and/or remove trees along the route in compliance with the Board of Public Utilities’ Vegetation Management Rules. This may include trees in the public rights of way and on private property. If you are the owner of a tree on private property, you will be contacted by our Vegetation Management Department or one of our approved contractors.

Safety is our highest priority. It is essential that you and everyone using your property, including children and pets, refrain from going near our construction work zones.
