Mayor’s Message – Commencement Ceremonies

Last night, I had the privilege of attending the Shawnee High School Class of 2026 Graduation.
As a proud Shawnee graduate, it was great to celebrate this moment with the students, families, educators, and community members who helped make it possible.
Thank you to the Lenape Regional High School District Board of Education, Principal Matt Campbell, and the entire Shawnee staff for your leadership, commitment, and countless hours supporting these students and preparing them for this milestone.
Thank you to Medford Township Public Schools for building the foundation during those early years and helping shape these graduates into the young adults they are today.
Thank you to our Medford Police Department, Fire Department, and EMS professionals for everything you do throughout the year to keep our schools, students, and community safe.
Thank you to the parents, grandparents, guardians, family members, and mentors who showed up every day with support, encouragement, sacrifice, and love. Graduation belongs to the students, but this moment belongs to all of you too.
Listening to student speakers Logan Heim and Reagan Kerns, I left confident that the future of our town and our country is in good hands.
To the graduates, congratulations. You are now forever part of a special community built on 54 years of tradition and excellence. Wherever life takes you next, know that you will always have a place here and that generations of Renegades stand with you.
Congratulations to the Shawnee High School Class of 2026.
And congratulations as well to all Medford residents graduating this year from other high schools, programs, trade schools, colleges, and educational paths. Our community is proud of each of you and excited for what comes next.
Thank you for letting all of us share in this special milestone.
*Once a Renegade, always a Renegade.*
