Community Spotlight: A Lasting Tribute to Nikki Ferrer

Medford Township is honored to recognize the Ferrer family for their generous donation of a Little Free Library at Bob Bende Park in memory of their daughter, Nikki.
Nikki was an avid reader and loved soccer, making Bob Bende Park a fitting location for this special tribute. Positioned near the fields where so many families gather, the library will provide an opportunity for children and parents alike to take a book, leave a book, and share in the joy of reading.
What began as a family’s desire to honor Nikki’s memory will now become a lasting gift to our community—one that encourages learning, imagination, and connection for years to come.
We are grateful to the Ferrer family for sharing Nikki’s love of reading with others and helping create a meaningful space where her legacy will continue to inspire young readers throughout Medford.
Thank you to our staff at DPW for installation of the little library.
Thank you, Ferrer family, for this beautiful addition to Bob Bende Park and for allowing our community to be part of Nikki’s story.
