Deputy Clerk/Deputy Registrar

The Township of Medford is currently accepting employment applications for the full-time position of Custodian in the Public Works Department. Hours of employment are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Applicants must have a Level One or higher Water or Sewer License. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a minimum of 18 years of age. Applicants should have a mechanical ability and experience in use of power equipment. Applicants must have a valid N.J. Driver’s License. Applicants should be able to lift 50 pounds, be in good physical health, and submit to a thorough background check and drug screening prior to employment.

Custodian
Township of Medford – Burlington County

The Township of Medford is currently accepting employment applications for the full-time position of Custodian in the Public Works Department. Hours of employment are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Duties include cleaning public buildings; including offices, restrooms and common areas. Work includes sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, disposal of trash and recyclables, restocking dispensers, and minor building and grounds maintenance including snow removal on sidewalks and in parking areas as required. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial duties and buildings and grounds maintenance. Applicants must possess a NJ Driver’s License, should have a clean driving record, be able to lift 50 pounds, be in good physical health and submit to a thorough background check and drug screening prior to employment.
The starting salary for this position is $18.79/hour or $39,083/year. Opportunities for earned overtime are available. Medford participates in the NJ State Public Employees Retirement/Pension (PERS) system and offers a generous health benefits plan, along with paid vacation time, accrued sick time and 13 paid holidays per year.

Deputy Municipal Clerk / Deputy Registrar
Township of Medford – Burlington County

The Township of Medford is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Deputy Municipal Clerk/ Deputy Registrar. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Municipal Clerk’s office and strong understanding of its responsibilities, including responding to OPRA requests, managing elections, preparing agendas, resolutions, ordinances, and meeting minutes, overseeing records management, issuing permits and licenses, handling Vital Statistics and performing additional duties as required. Applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in administrative, organizational, and computer/technical tasks, including MS Word and Excel. A willingness to learn, ability to multitask and a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality are essential. The Deputy Clerk must be able to perform the duties of the Municipal Clerk in her absence. Occasional attendance at evening meetings and extended hours during election periods is required. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in local government, specifically in a Municipal Clerk’s office, and completion of or enrollment in Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) and Certified Municipal Registrar (CMR) certification classes. State certification as an RMC and CMR are highly desirable. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. Temporary Administrative Assistant For Twp Clerk's Office

The Township of Medford is seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant I to help out for a period of time in the Township Municipal Clerks’ Office. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Municipal Clerk’s office and a clear understanding of its responsibilities. These include processing OPRA (Open Public Records Act) requests, providing public service, collecting miscellaneous fees, performing general office functions, and carrying out additional duties as required. Assessor
Township of Medford, Burlington County

The Township of Medford seeks an experienced individual possessing a NJ Certified Tax Assessor certification, to serve as a full-time Assessor. Candidates must be well-versed in all aspects of municipal assessing practices. Highly effective interpersonal skills in dealings with the public, co-workers, governing body and other agencies required.
