It has come to the attention of the Township that water discharges onto sidewalks and roadways are creating icy and hazardous conditions. Residents are reminded that it if your sump pumps or other household equipment and appliances are draining to the outside of the property, and water is flowing onto your sidewalks or the street in front of your property, it is your responsibility to clear any resulting ice or other hazard, as per Ordinance 2018-7 (Sidewalks).
It is permissible to use ice melt and/or sand to treat the icy areas..
We appreciate your cooperation so as to insure the safety of all who use our sidewalks and roadways. Failure to abate such hazards may result in further action by the Township.
