Beginning this week, the restroom facilities at Freedom Park, Medford Park and Bob Meyer Park will be open to the public every day from 8:00 am to dusk.
The restroom facilities had been areas targeted by vandalism, and there were challenges with locking the facilities in the evening.
In consultation with the Police Department, the Department of Neighborhood Services and the Township Manager, the Township Council authorized funding in the 2019 Capital Budget for locks and cameras for the buildings so the facilities could be re-opened to the public.
We ask residents who visit the parks to be vigilant and report suspicious behavior to the Police.
Please note that the park restrooms are not heated, so they will be closed over the winter; generally from mid-November thru March.
