STATEMENT: APRIL 20, 2018:
"The Township is making every effort to get brush and tree debris picked up as quickly as possible. We currently have all available resources committed to this effort and are currently collecting in both Zone 4 and Zone 3. Due to the amount of brush placed at the street, significant delays are expected. The schedule published in early 2018 did not account for the storms that we experienced in March. Please understand that we cannot provide exact dates or times that your material will be collected. We are exploring additional collection and disposal options at this time and hope to have additional resources committed to this effort in the near future.
Residents who cannot wait for a roadside collection have the option to bring the material to our DPW yard any Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 2 pm, excluding holidays. Patrons must show proof of residency. The DPW yard is also open on the following Saturdays:
April 21st, 8 am – 1 pm
May 5th, 8 am – 1 pm
May 19th, 8 am – 1 pm
June 2nd, 8 am – 1 pm
June 16th, 8 am – 1 pm
July 7th, 8 am – 1 pm
July 21st, 8 am – 1 pm
Additional Saturday yard hours are posted on our website. Contractors are not permitted to dispose of any material at our DPW yard. Questions about brush collection should be forwarded to Richard Parks, Director of Neighborhood Services, by phone at 609-654-6791 or by email at rparks@medfordtownship.com.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.”

Brush Collection Update, 3/12/18
The Township is aware of the amount of tree parts and debris that has been left curbside due to the heavy snowfall on March 7, 2018. Township Officials have been in contact with County and State officials regarding the state of emergency and pursuit of FEMA funding to assist in cleanup efforts due to the large amounts of trees and debris. The Township will be mobilizing as soon as possible to begin collection of brush and tree parts. Residents who have brush and tree parts may place the material within the right-of-way in front of their homes. Brush piles should be placed neatly out of the roadway and out of the lane of travel. Material should not be placed near mailboxes, fire hydrants, or utility boxes. Branches and limbs should be cut in lengths no longer than eight (8) feet. Larger tree trunks should be cut in lengths that are three (3) feet or less. Material larger than ten (10) inches in diameter and tree stumps cannot be collected. The Township will begin regular brush pickup starting in April and will adhere to the following schedule:
Zone 4: Week of April 2
Zone 3: Week of April 16
Zone 2: Week of April 30
Zone 1: Week of May 14
Zone 5: Week of May 29
Residents who cannot wait for a roadside collection may also bring this material to the DPW yard any Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 2 pm. The yard is also open on the third Saturday of each month from 8 am to 1 pm. Saturday hours for the spring include March 17th, April 7th, April 21st, May 5th, May 19th, and June 2nd.
