The Burlington County WWI Memorial Committee will hold a WWI Memorial Dedication Ceremony at Freedom Park in Medford, NJ at 10 am on Saturday November 4, 2017. The rain date is Sunday November 5th, 2017.
US World War I Participation: April 6, 1917-November 11, 1918
On November 4, 2017 we will honor the one hundredth anniversary of United States participation in World War I. World War I was to be the “Great War” fought to end future wars. We know that was far from reality, as our world continues the struggles that have taken many lives. Through strength, courage and sacrifice, the United States and its allies have led the way to preserve freedom and liberty across planet Earth. We should not, and cannot ignore the sacrifice of those who have fought to preserve our liberty.
Medford Township and The Burlington County World War I Memorial Committee will recognize the contributions of the many that sacrificed and served during this important epoch in history. A lasting monument with descriptive inscriptions will be dedicated at 10 am on Saturday November 4th, 2017 in Medford’s Freedom Park located at 86 Union St, Medford, NJ 08055.
Your participation in this ceremony is requested to make this Memorial Dedication a meaningful and special event. The ceremony will start promptly at 10 am.
