New Age-Restricted, Affordable For-Sale Housing in Medford Township
An Open House will be held at 16 Eyedon Avenue in the Wyngate development in Medford Township to showcase affordable units being constructed by Bob Meyer Communities. 16 Eyedon Avenue is a newly constructed affordable two bedroom age-restricted town home. In order to be eligible for this age-restricted affordable housing unit and others planned for construction, applicants must meet certain income limits as required by the New Jersey Council on Affordable Housing AND at least one member of the household must be at least 55 years of age (no residents under the age of 18 are permitted). The new units are located in the Wyngate and Heritage developments and affordable sales prices will range from $78,334 to $124,267.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for potential homebuyers to acquire an affordable unit in a local active adult community”, said Katherine Burger, the Township’s Manager.
The maximum household incomes permitted are $45,640 for a one person household and $52,160 for a two person household. Interested households will be required to submit a pre-application. All qualified pre-applications will be added to the waiting list. Units are deed restricted to ensure continued affordability.
According to Ms. Burger, “The affordable homes are located in an ideal location and in close proximity to all Township amenities.”
Triad Associates has been designated by Medford Township to act as the program Administrative Agent to qualify and assist home buyers through the application process. Interested persons are asked to call Triad Associates, at 856-690-5749 to request a Preliminary Application. Pre-applications are also available at the Medford Township Municipal Building at 17 North Main Street, on the Medford Township website at www.medfordtownship.com and at www.triadhousingprograms.com.
The program is authorized through the Township of Medford’s Affordable Housing Program, in accordance with the New Jersey Council on Affordable Housing.
