The event will be held at Freedom Park on Monday, July 3, with a July 7 rain date. Live music will be provided by local favorites “The Oh-Gees”, and 20 of your most popular food trucks & and food vendors will be participating. A Kid’s Activity Zone is also planned.
The Medford Celebrates Foundation, Inc., announced that ShopRite of Medford has again agreed to sponsor Medford’s 2023 Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display as the Presenting Sponsor. “The proceeds from the Presenting Sponsor go directly toward purchasing the evening’s fireworks,” said Bob Egan, President of Medford Celebrates, the volunteer organization that produces the event every year. “Medford has always had fantastic fireworks displays to celebrate our nation’s independence and we are grateful to ShopRite of Medford for again providing the funds to continue that tradition.”
D.R Horton is returning as the Stage & Entertainment Sponsor, Polymer Solutions as the Vendor’s Row Sponsor, Murphy’s Fresh Markets as the Tailgate Area Sponsor and YMCA of the Pines as the Kid’s Zone sponsor.
Other area businesses that have pledged sponsorships to date are Archer Law, Medford Fitness, Padden Cooper, Yale School, Alenco Fence, Columbia Bank, Radwell International, Burdey Publications, Medford Hardware, Medford Ford, Taunton Forge Liquors, Village at Taunton Forge Shopping Center, and Medford Bowling Center.
Each year, well over 10,000 regional residents attend Medford’s Independence Day Celebration, but Egan said that “the costs of presenting a free admission event of this size for thousands of South Jersey residents and visitors are substantial and growing with inflation. We of course welcome, and in fact need, additional sponsors as well as contributions from our residents”
Egan asked all who attend the event to be on the lookout for donation tents and tables at Freedom Park, and for all others to visit the Foundation website www.medfordnjcelebrates.org to make a donation and for more information. He concluded that “if every family would contribute even a dollar for each family member who comes to watch, we can help assure that we can keep the fireworks going in 2024 and the future.”
Medford Celebrates Foundation, Inc. is an all-volunteer Section 501(c)(3) non-profit entity dedicated to securing funding needed to stage Medford Township’s major events and producing Medford’s Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Display.
