The
Medford Cultural Arts Commission invites poets in
Selected
poets will be recognized at a reception and awards will be presented (date
TBA).
Winners will be selected for the following awards:
The Rules:
- Poets must be a
resident of
- Any form of poetry or subject
is acceptable. All submitted work must be original as well as be the work
of the poet entering the contest.
- All entries must be typed and presented in hardcopy (no e-mailed
entries).
- The entry form (on
this page) must accompany all entries.
- Poet’s name must not appear on typed copy of poem. Poet’s identifying information must appear on application appearing on this page and sent in with the typed poem. Each application will be numbered with the corresponding number placed on the poem for “blind judging.”
- Entries will be judged by jurors selected by the MCAC. Winners will be selected based on excellence of poetry.
- All entries must be
received no later than Wednesday, October 15, 2008. There is no fee for entry.
- Members of MCAC,
Friends of MCAC, and Employees of Medford Township and their relatives may
participate but are not eligible for prizes or awards.
To Enter:
Fill out the
application form to the right and submit it WITH
YOUR POEM to the Medford Cultural Arts Commission. All poems and
applications must be submitted no later than October 15, 2008. They may be mailed or dropped off in person
during business hours
