The Township of Medford Department of Neighborhood Services Utility Division is seeking applications for the position of Compliance Officer. The position holder is responsible for assisting the Utility's Licensed Potable Water Treatment & Distribution System and Wastewater Treatment & Collection System Operator with maintaining system compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
Such compliance maintenance shall entail:
Compiling information from various sources such as :
Daily operations reports, Analytical results, System instrumentation, Regulations and Guidance Documents
Utility Staff, Engineering Staff, General Public, Regulators
Reading, organizing and understanding this information and using it to:
Complete monitoring reports as required by the various regulatory agencies in a timely manner
Advising the Licensed Operator of deadlines, operational issues and potential compliance related issues
Assist in developing and tracking financial budgets
Assist in developing standard operating procedures, operation reports and compliance plans
To this end, applicants must have the following:
Experience in the water/wastewater or related industry
A basic understanding of science
An ability to read and interpret regulations and guidance documents
Strong organizational skills
Strong time management skills
Strong communications skills
Proficient computer (Microsoft Office) skills
Additionally, applicants should have some combination of the following:
BS degree in science or technology or engineering field
A minimum of 5 years related experience
Water and Wastewater Licensing
Experience with New Jersey Regulations

EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS
The Medford Township Department of Fire & EMS is currently accepting resumes for Part-Time Emergency Medical Technicians. Applicants must be age 21 or older and have 2 years’ experience in emergency medical services. Must hold current EMT-B, CPR Certifications and valid driver’s license & be physically capable of performing all duties involving emergency medical services.
Must complete a written application, oral interview, medical evaluation and physical agility test.
