Powers and duties of Township Clerk include . . .

Serves as Clerk of the Council, keeps minutes and records of its proceedings, maintains and compiles ordinances and resolutions.
Execute all ordinances and all resolutions of a permanent character in books to be provided for that purpose.  After the passage of each ordinance, the clerk shall also publish, seal and certify the proof of publication thereof as required by law.
Have and take custody of all official books, papers and documents of the township for which no other repository is provided, and preserve and keep them safely.
Administer the licensing provisions of the township ordinances

Dog License

Annual fee: $12.00 + additional $3.00 if non-neutered/spayed. Must be obtained by January 31st or there will be a late fee of $10.00 for licenses purchased after that date. There is no grace period.   Application (for new dogs and new residents only) can be found on our Forms/Applications page

Please notify this office if you move or if your dog passes, to update our records.

The twp. in N.J. where either applicant resides, or

If both applicants are from out of state, in the twp. where the Civil Union or Marriage is to be performed.
In this case, the license is valid in that twp. only.
$28.00 fee
72 hour waiting period
License valid for 30 days after issuance

Meeting requirements of N.J.S.A. 26:8A-4

Partners of the opposite sex both over the age of 62. Appointment Recommended

Raffle
Permits
When applying for a raffle permit, please allow at least six weeks for the process to be completed once the application has been submitted to the Township Clerk's office. A police investigation is required before the application can be placed on the Council agenda for approval. After Council approval, it is then forwarded to the Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission. There is a fifteen day waiting period, after the application is submitted to the LGCCC, before the license can be granted.
